The Post-Crescent-USA TODAY Sports

Both the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers hoped to field more competitive teams this season, but neither team is quite done for just yet. On Thursday Night Football, the Packers will travel to CenturyLink Field to face the Seahawks, beginning at 8:20 p.m. ET on NFL Network and FOX (live streaming via ).

Both teams took a Week 7 bye, and have went 1-2 since then. They’re both sitting at four wins, though the Packers have the slight edge in winning percentage thanks to an early season tie with the Vikings. The Packers, however, are coming off a dominant 31-12 victory over the Miami Dolphins, while the Seahawks most recently fell to the Los Angeles Chargers in a close one, 36-31.

Below is all you need to know to follow the action on Thursday.

Time, TV, and streaming info

  • Time: 8:20 p.m. ET
  • Location: CenturyLink Field, Seattle, Wa.
  • TV: NFL Network, FOX
  • Streaming: Amazon Prime, FuboTV, FOX Sports GO, NFL
  • Odds: The Packers opened as narrow 2-point underdogs for the matchup.

Packers vs. Seahawks news

1. Russell Wilson has been on fire while Aaron Rodgers hasn’t been Aaron Rodgers

In the three games since the Seahawks’ bye week, Wilson has thrown eight touchdowns, one interception, has a 71.5 completion percentage, and a 123.5 passer rating. Wilson is heating up, and it comes at a good time as the Seahawks have a tough road ahead to make it to the playoffs. In his past six Thursday games, Wilson is 6-0 with 12 passing touchdowns and only three interceptions for 111.9 rating. Wilson needs one more win to tie Dave Krieg as the Seahawks’ winningest quarterback in the regular season with 70. Will it come tonight?

Packers vs. Seahawks prediction

The Packers can’t afford a loss Thursday after some early-season hijinks (the nonsense tie against the Vikings, Mason Crosby crumbling into dust against the Lions) and a brutal final half of the season that includes games at Minnesota and Chicago. The Seahawks are in a similar boat at 4-5. But Green Bay’s secondary is stabilizing and Seattle’s blocking remains problematic — and those are two major storylines that should lead to a close victory for the visitors in prime time.
