We’re back for Week 9 of the 2018 NFL season, and we opened things with an unexpectedly wild affair on Thursday Night Football. The San Francisco 49ers destroyed the Oakland Raiders, winning 34-3 even though they sent out second year quarterback Nick Mullens for his first career NFL appearance.
Spread picks for every NFL game in Week 9
I’ve got five picks against the spread I’m feeling strongest about in Week 9, and then a pick for the remaining games.

The return of football means fantasy football and gambling are back in our lives. There is nothing quite like a little football gambling to make games that much more exciting. This season, I am taking part in the Westgate SuperContest. SB Nation’s partners over at Odds Shark are sponsoring my entry again. The contest requires selecting five games each week and picking them against the spread.
I’ll be offering up all five SuperContest entries each week, along with picks against the spread for every game each week. I had a brutal week, going 0-5 in Week 8, and went 4-10 for for my total picks — both the second straight such performance for me. I’m now 17-20-3 for the year in the SuperContest.
