Super Bowl 52 between the New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles will have a lot more than just the game happening on the field. The annual Super Bowl halftime show is one that people everywhere tune into each year. For 2018, Justin Timberlake will take center stage in Minneapolis on Sunday night.
Super Bowl halftime show 2018: Time, TV schedule, how to watch online
Justin Timberlake will perform at the Super Bowl for the second time.
Timberlake has done this before — he was the halftime performer for the 2004 Super Bowl in Houston between the Patriots and Carolina Panthers. Yes, that’s the same year the infamous wardrobe malfunction with him and Janet Jackson took place in front of millions of people. Timberlake has made it clear he won’t be doing anything like that again on Sunday:
“It’s just one of those things where you go, like, ‘Yeah, what do you want me to say?’ We’re not going to do that again,” Timberlake told Lowe.
”I stumbled through it. To be quite honest, I had my wires crossed. It’s just something that you have to look back on and go, ‘OK, well, you can’t change what’s happened, but you can move forward and learn from it.”
Timberlake released a new album, Man Of The Woods, earlier this year, but aside from his single “Filthy,” he’ll probably mix some of his classic songs into the performance. And given that Minneapolis is the hometown of Prince, who passed away in 2016, it wouldn’t be a surprise if there was some sort of tribute to the past Super Bowl performer, as well.
Last year’s performance from Lady Gaga was excellent, so Timberlake will have some big shoes to fill this year.
