The Patriots tried a trick play with 40-year-old Tom Brady as a receiver. It failed.

It was such a great play call too!

The Patriots tried to run some trickery that would have given us a Tom Brady Super Bowl reception, and it didn’t happen.

Brady was wide open and about to catch a pass from Danny Amendola, but it went off his hands:

The play call by Josh McDaniels on that one was great. Brady’s always been known to not be one of the better athletes in the NFL, and the tape of him from the NFL Combine is always a funny watch.

Brady could not have possibly been more wide open on the play and showed that he’s probably the same old goofball who happens to be great at throwing the pigskin!

The Patriots were then forced into a fourth-and-5. On the next play, Brady tried to find Rob Gronkowski down the right sideline, and he was unable to come down with the pass.

What an incredible missed opportunity.
