Super Bowl 52 was a fun one throughout — and it was only appropriate that it would end in nail-biting fashion.
The Patriots’ last-second Hail Mary fell agonizingly short in Eagles’ Super Bowl win
It was the perfect way to end this game.

After going back and fourth for four quarters, the one play that would end up deciding the Super Bowl would be Tom Brady nearly pulling off the most incredible Super Bowl Hail Mary, but coming up just short.
After Julian Edelman’s catch last Super Bowl against the Falcons, it felt like the ball was in the air forever, but the Eagles came through:
The game had been competitive throughout. There were big moments from Alshon Jeffery, Nick Foles, Tom Brady, and the variety of receivers he hit during the game. But there were some also missed field goals in the game as well.
The Eagles scored a touchdown with 2:21 left to go in the game on a Zach Ertz leap for the goal line to make it a 38-33 game. After forcing a fumble of Tom Brady, the Eagles were able to get three more points on the board with 1:05 to go, giving Tom Brady the football with no timeouts.
After starting the drive off slow, the Patriots were able to get to midfield, but still came up short.
The game had a little bit of everything, including some catch rule messiness on a touchdown reception by Corey Clement that wouldn’t be overturned. It was surprising considering how those plays have been called over the course of the season.
With the final play, it was a fitting ending to what will be a memorable Super Bowl in the rematch between the two teams.
