Every Lombardi Trophy presentation is cool in a way, even if it involves a team like the Patriots that’s been there a bunch of times. There’s something pretty cool about watching people celebrate reaching the pinnacle of their field, and that’s what’s on display every time these presentations happen.
It’s a little extra special when the team’s never been there before. The Eagles hadn’t been, and that made this a particularly cool moment not just for the guys on the stage with Roger Goodell, but for literally millions of people who care about that team.
As great as the presentation was, I presume it won’t hold a candle to what happens on Broad Street over the next few days.
