We have reached halftime of Super Bowl LIII, and the New England Patriots lead the Los Angeles Rams 3-0 at Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

It took nearly 20 minutes for the game’s first score, after a scoreless first quarter, but Stephen Gostkowski delivered the first points with a 42-yard field goal for New England. But that was it!

New England dominated in many ways in the first half, with 195 yards to just 57 for the Rams, holding Los Angeles to only two first downs. But the Patriots were held to just three whole points, thanks to an interception, a missed field goal, and another turnover on downs. The Patriots had the ball for 19:52, basically two-thirds of the first half.
This is the ninth Super Bowl of the Tom Brady-Bill Belichick era, and the fifth time the Patriots led at halftime.
