Authorities in California accomplished something the Los Angeles Chargers have struggled to do as of late.

Stop the Chiefs(Aholic).

According to the Kansas City bureau of the FBI, Kansas City Chiefs superfan — and current member of a Most Wanted List — ChiefsAholic has been apprehended in California while on the run from authorities.

In an announcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Missouri notes that Xaviar Michael Babudar, known to the world as ChiefsAholic, was arrested in Lincoln, California on Friday, July 7. He was on the run from authorities after being charged “with bank theft for one of a string of robberies he is suspected of committing.”

As described by the USAO, Babudar “traveled throughout the Midwest to perpetrate a string of robberies at various banks and credit unions. He allegedly laundered the robbery proceeds through area casinos and bank accounts.”

Allegedly, Babudar used casinos as a means of laundering the stolen money.

According to the affidavit, he entered the bank wearing a ski mask and handed a teller a note demanding money and indicating he had a firearm. The teller handed Babudar $70,000; law enforcement officers later found $1,460 in $20 bills in the nearby woods along with a glove worn by Babudar during the bank robbery.

Over the next six weeks, Babudar deposited the same approximate amount of money that was stolen from Great Western Bank into his money market savings account, the affidavit says, and engaged in multiple casino chip purchases and redemptions at the Argosy Casino in Riverside, Mo.

The case will be transferred to a federal grand jury to determine whether additional charges are appropriate.

Previous version: Back in December the world learned the truth behind Kansas City Chiefs superfan “ChiefsAholic.” That came to light when the well-known NFL superfan did not show up at the Chiefs’ game on the road against the Houston Texans.

Internet sleuths got to sleuthing, and uncovered something that defied belief. The man inside the wolf costume was identified as Xaviar Babudar, and he had something of a shocking past.

As in, bank-robbing kind of shocking.

He was linked to a bank robbery in Oklahoma that took place in December, apparently while he was on his way down to Houston to see the game:

He was arrested, given an ankle monitor, and was due to be arraigned in March. However, Babudar did not appear for that hearing, and skipped town, with authorities believing that he removed his ankle monitor.

That incident found him referenced — twice — in the anime schedule release video put out by the Los Angeles Chargers in May:

Now, he is referenced somewhere else.

A “Most Wanted” list.

Officials in Oklahoma have added him to their “Most Wanted Fugitives” list. According to the posting, he is wanted in Tulsa for “Failure to Appear” in connection with the bank robbery. In this story from FOX 4, it is noted that there is an active arrest warrant out for Babudar, and if found he will be held on a $1 million bond.

“There is an active arrest warrant for Babudar. If found, he will be arrested and held on a $1 million bond.

“There is also a reward offered for information leading to Babudar’s arrest. Anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.”

Internet sleuths, do what you do.

This story was updated with news of Babudar’s arrest.
