UPDATE 3: Harbaugh met with the media after the game and said, “he was dealing with ‘atrial flutter’ when he went back to the locker room.” He said it was the third time he’s dealt with this since 1999. He received an EKG and an IV before returning to the game, per Daniel Popper.

UPDATE 2: Harbaugh returned to the sideline during the first quarter.

UPDATE: Jim Harbaugh is dealing with an illness and is questionable to return, per the Los Angeles Chargers. Defensive coordinator Jesse Minter will serve as interim head coach in the meantime.

The Los Angeles Chargers are on the road facing the Denver Broncos in Week 6, and something odd has happened. Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh went to the blue medical tent early in the first quarter and then went to the locker room with the team’s training staff.

Harbaugh’s brother, John, cut his Ravens postgame press conference short once he received the news about Jim leaving the field so he could call and check on his brother.

We will continue to update this story as more details become available.
