Jalen Tolbert ‘sprained his nuts’ before Cowboys game-winning TD, according to teammate

SPRAINED HIS ... NUTS?!

Jalen Tolbert became the hero the Cowboys needed against the Steelers when he caught the game-winning touchdown. It was a moment almost everyone missed with a weather-delayed Sunday Night Football going into Monday morning — but we didn’t know at the time that Tolbert had “sprained his nuts” on the play, according to teammate Tyler Smith.

Far be it from me to correct a professional athlete, but my limited knowledge of anatomy tells me you can’t “sprain your nuts,” your groin? Sure. Your inner thigh? Absolutely. The testicles themselves — I don’t know if those can be sprained.

Even if this was a malaprop and Tolbert simply jammed his nuts or hurt them on the previous play, it’s damn impressive that he managed to get open and catch the game-winning pass with 20 second left on the clock. Hell, if I got hit in that general area you might as well just write me off for the next two or three hours.

Athletes just aren’t like us.
