For many NFL fans, November brings dreams of a deep playoff run, and perhaps a Super Bowl title.

For other NFL fans, November is the time of year when they start checking standings of a different sort: The order for the upcoming NFL Draft.

While some teams are making a push for the playoffs, other teams — and their fans — are looking at the incoming crop of talent and making plans to visit Mobile for the Senior Bowl, Arlington for the Shrine Bowl, and maybe even Indianapolis for the NFL Scouting Combine. If you fall into that category, here are the standings you are worried about right now: The current 2025 NFL Draft Order.

Who has the No. 1 pick right now?

At the moment, the Jacksonville Jaguars own the rights to the first-overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. Both the Jaguars and the Giants have matching 2-8 records as Week 10 draws to a close, but the Jaguars own a tiebreaker thanks to their strength of schedule. When two teams have the same exact record, NFL draft order is decided by strength of schedule. The team that played the schedule with the lowest winning percentage will be awarded the higher pick.

That tiebreaker at the moment gives the pick to the Jaguars.

What teams are in contention for the 2025 NFL Draft No. 1 pick?

While the Jaguars are in the lead for the first-overall selection, they are not running away with those honors. The Giants have the same exact record as Jacksonville, and as outlined above the Jaguars only sit in the first slot right now thanks to a strength of schedule tiebreaker.

But there are several teams in the running, including the Cleveland Browns and the Las Vegas Raiders, both of whom were off this week. The Tennesee Titans, the New England Patriots, the New Orleans Saints, the Carolina Panthers, the New York Jets, and the Dallas Cowboys are all still in the mix.

Even some teams further down the list, like the Indianapolis Colts and the Cincinnati Bengals, could make a run at the first pick down the stretch.

Then there are the Miami Dolphins, who play Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams. A loss in that game would drop Miami to 2-7 along with the Raiders and the Browns, and slot them into the third-overall pick thanks to their strength of schedule.

What games matter in Week 11 for the No. 1 pick?

If you are a fan who has already started looking at prospects for the 2025 NFL Draft, you might want to keep an eye on a few games in Week 11. Three games in particular stand out in this regard. Week 11 will see games between the Raiders and the Dolphins, the Browns and the Saints, and the Colts against the Jets. Losers of those games will see their odds for the first-overall selection improve a bit.

As for the team that currently holds that pick, the Jaguars? They take a trip to Detroit to take on the Lions. Odds are the Jaguars will still be in the driver’s seat after Week 11.

But anything can happen in the NFL.
