NFL Draft order 2025: 3 teams tied atop the board after Week 12

How does the 2025 NFL Draft order shape up after Week 12.

The NFL is wrapping up Week 12 with a huge Monday Night Football matchup, but Sunday brought some huge upsets. The Dallas Cowboys and Tennessee Titans came into the weekend climbing the draft board, but both pulled off stunners. The Cowboys gave the Washington Commanders a difficult time and escaped with a win after Austin Seibert missed a potential game-tying extra point. Earlier in the day, the Titans blocked a field goal late to shock the Houston Texans.

Both teams saw their draft positioning take a hit with the wins, but victories are good for morale. Neither game changed the top of the draft board, but things have bunched up in the bid for the No. 1 bid. Ahead of Week 12, the Jacksonville Jaguars had sole possession of the top spot in the 2025 NFL Draft. They remain at the top thanks to tiebreakers, but Jags fans will be scoreboard-watching a bit more closely over the coming weeks to see if Jacksonville can separate downward.

Who has the No. 1 pick right now?

The Jacksonville Jaguars hold the No. 1 pick, but the race has tightened up. Jacksonville had a bye week and that allowed the New York Giants and Las Vegas Raiders to pull into a tie. The Giants lost an ugly one to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers while the Raiders couldn’t quite put it together against the Denver Broncos.

The first tiebreaker for draft order is strength of schedule. The team with the weakest strength of schedule gets the better pick. The Jaguars enter Week 12 Monday Night Football with the edge over the Giants and Raiders.

What teams are in contention for the 2025 NFL Draft No. 1 pick?

The Jaguars, Giants, and Raiders are all at the top of the list. However, there are five other teams all within a game of the top three teams. The New England Patriots dropped to 3-9, while the Titans, Carolina Panthers, New York Jets, and Cleveland Browns all sit at 3-8.

There’s a lot of football left to be played, but Week 16 brings a particularly interesting matchup. The Raiders host the Jaguars and it will likely have a big impact on a top five draft pick.

What games matter in Week 13 for the No. 1 pick?

The Thanksgiving tripleheader looked like it could be fairly interesting when the schedule was announced, but three of the four teams are firmly in the race for a high draft pick. The big one for draft purposes sees the Giants traveling to face the Cowboys. Both teams have changed quarterbacks, with New York’s decision due to poor play and Dallas’ decision due to injury.

There’s no single game that will flip things, but the Jaguars hosting the Texans is an intriguing one. The Texans have lost three of their last four, and coming off a road loss to the Titans, a stumble in Jacksonville wouldn’t exactly shock the world. If the 2-9 Jaguars manage a home upset, that could shake up the top of the draft board.
