The Jaguars’ win in Week 14 improved their record, but not their draft position

The Jacksonville Jaguars overcame a pair of interceptions from backup quarterback Mac Jones to defeat the Tennessee Titans by a final score of 10-6 on Sunday. The win improved Jacksonville’s record to 3-10 on the season, a small bright spot during what has been a difficult campaign.

However, the win cost Jacksonville in the race for the first-overall selection in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Jacksonville’s win was the Las Vegas Raiders’ gain, as they slid into the driver’s seat for the first overall selection. The Raiders and the New York Giants have matching 2-11 records, but at the moment the Raiders hold the tiebreaker with a lower strength of schedule, .537 for Las Vegas and .546 for the Giants.

Right now the Raiders have just one team with a winning record on their schedule, the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18. As for the Giants, they have both the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens left on their schedule.

In addition, the Raiders still have to play the Jaguars in a few weeks, a game that will have massive implications for the top of the 2025 NFL Draft order.

Here is the current order for the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft:
