Sometimes things just work out.
The Chicago Bears drafted the hardest worker at the NFL Combine in Rome Odunze
The Bears took the hardest worker of the NFL Combine in Rome Odunze.

It was reported in the lead up to the 2024 NFL Draft that USC quarterback Caleb Williams and Washington wide receiver Rome Odunze worked out together last week. That will be happening a lot from now on seeing as how they are now teammates.
The Chicago Bears took Williams with the No. 1 overall pick and were able to land Odunze eight picks later at No. 9 overall (Rome was the third wide receiver taken). Odunze has picked up hype as the best receiver in the class at times in the pre-draft process and a big reason for that was how hard he worked at the NFL Combine.
After drills were over Rome did his best to set a time that he was happy with in the three-cone drill. The Bears just got quite the worker.
Chicago held the No. 1 overall pick by way of a trade last year with the Carolina Panthers that also netted them wide receiver D.J. Moore. They were not your conventional team to pick first overall and hit the ground running with Williams at the helm and now Odunze as a running mate for Moore. Do not forget that Chicago also traded for Keenan Allen this offseason.
I was able to sit down with Rome recently to talk about his preparation for the draft and he was highly impressive. You can watch our conversation below.
Here come the Bears.
