The Detroit Lions are fighting for their playoff lives, trailing the Washington Commanders in the second quarter of Saturday night’s NFC DIvisional Round Game.

And Teddy Bridgewater — who just weeks ago was guiding the high school team he coaches to a state championship — is in the game for Jared Goff.

Goff was taken to the blue medical tent after taking a brutal hit on a Commanders’ Pick Six midway through the second quarter. Goff was blocked hard by Washington linebacker Frankie Luvu at the end of the return, and replays showed contact to Goff’s head and chin:

While the Lions were penalized for a false start on Bridgewater’s first play of the game, they were able to finish the drive with a touchdown from Jameson Williams, to cut Washington’s lead to just 24-21:

No word yet on if Goff will return to the game, but he was spotted telling head coach Dan Campbell that he was okay, as well as celebrating the Williams touchdown.

Game update: Goff returned to the field for the Lions’ next possession, with Detroit trailing 31-21.
