Championship weekend has wrapped up and we know who will be facing off in two weeks at Super Bowl 59 in New Orleans. The Philadelphia Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs to close out the 2025 NFL Playoffs. The Eagles are competing for their second Lombardi Trophy while the Chiefs have a shot at the first three-peat in Super Bowl history. This marks a rematch between the two teams as the Chiefs beat the Eagles two years ago to open this current run.

The Eagles reached the Super Bowl after beating the Washington Commanders 55-23 in the NFC Championship. The Commanders gave them a tough time through the first three quarters, but the Eagles took advantage of three fumbles and got a huge game from Saquon Barkley. The Chiefs reached the Super Bowl after they held off the Buffalo Bills 32-29 in the AFC Championship. The AFC title game came down to the wire, but Kansas City got a huge stop just after the two-minute warning.

This marks the fifth time the Eagles have reached the Super Bowl, and the second time in three years. They faced the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl 57 and lost that game 38-35 after Harrison Butker kicked a game-winning field goal with eight seconds left. Patrick Mahomes claimed the MVP award while Jalen Hurts had a strong game with a passing touchdown and three rushing touchdowns. This the third straight season the No. 1 seed in the NFC has reached the Super Bowl.

The Chiefs are the first repeat Super Bowl winner to return to the big game with a chance at a three-peat. They beat the San Francisco 49ers in overtime last season and the Eagles in the closing seconds the year before. Prior to that, they beat the 49ers in Super Bowl 54. This marks the second straight season the Chiefs will face a previous Super Bowl opponent.

The Eagles and Chiefs are 5-5 in their series history outside of that Super Bowl matchup.

The Super Bowl will kick off at 6:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, February 9. Fox will air the game live from the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana.
