Today the Philadelphia Eagles and thousands upon thousands of their fans will gather in the City of Brotherly Love to pay tribute to the team that denied Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs their shot at NFL history. The parade will begin at Lincoln Financial Field around 11:00 a.m. Eastern, heading down Broad Street towards City Hall before arriving at the Philadelphia Museum of Art. That is where around 2:00 p.m. a ceremony will take place, including speeches from the players.
Whether anyone can top Jason Kelce’s speech following Super Bowl LII remains to be seen.
We will be following the parade all day long, bringing you some of the best moments from Philadelphia as the city pays tribute to its Super Bowl heroes.
Eagles begin the day with a Valentine’s Day poem for their fans
The day began with the Eagles sending some Valentine’s Day wishes to their fans:
Funeral homes are getting in on the act
Stolfo Funeral Home, located on Broad Street along the parade route, hung a “RIP Chiefs” banner:
Across the street another funeral home set up speakers outside:
Then there is Rick’s Funeral Home in Philadelphia, which capitalized on the Eagles’ run to Super Bowl LIX with themed caskets throughout the playoffs.
