Week 3 of the 2025 NFL season is upon us and the action will continue on Sunday with a rematch of last year’s NFC Divisional round as the Los Angeles Rams visit the Philadelphia Eagles at 1 p.m. ET on FOX.

The Eagles successfully downed the Chiefs in their Super Bowl LIX rematch last Sunday, escaping Arrowhead Stadium with a 20-17 win. All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown was relatively quiet in the victory and his lack of impact so far this season is something to be noted.

Below, we’ll go over Brown’s outlook in fantasy football for Week 3.

Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles WR A.J. Brown

Brown was a top-10 wideout in ADP entering the season and has massively underperformed through the first two weeks of the regular season. He has just six receptions for 35 yards through two games and is currently ranks as WR84 in PPR leagues and WR 101 in standard leagues. He’s put up these woeful numbers despite being on the field for at least 87% of of offensive snaps in both of Philly’s games. So what gives?

For starters, the Eagles have decided are leaning into a run-heavy scheme under new offensive coordinator Kevin Petullo and that has been reflected by them having a league-low 40% passing rate, leading to a league-low 253 passing yards through two games. Neither him nor DeVonta Smith have had much of an impact so far this season and we saw both of them voice their frustrations with the offense last year prior to the Super Bowl run. We’ll see if they can get things turned around in this home matchup against the Rams.

Start or sit in Week 3 PPR leagues?

Start. Brown managers should stay the course with him in their starting lineups this week because there’s a particular matchup ripe for exploiting. As PennLive’s Johnny McGonigal pointed out, the Rams are down to Cobie Durant and Emmanuel Forbes as their top cornerbacks with Akhello Witherspoon suffering a broken clavicle. Brown absolutely torched Forbes when the latter played for the Commanders in 2023, combining for eight catches, 192 yards, and three touchdowns through two matchups.

If there’s a game for the All-Pro to break out of his early-season slump, it’s right here in Week 3.

Start or sit in Week 3 standard leagues?

Start.
