WJC 2011, USA Vs. Canada, Canadians Defeat US 4-1 To Head To Gold Medal Game
Canadian goals were scored by Zack Kassian, Ryan Johansen, Quinton Howden, and Curtis Hamilton while the lone American goal was scored by Chris Brown. Canada outshot the Americans - and looked like the better team throughout much of this game. Whether it was nerves or just being outclassed, Canada started the scoring early and never let off the gas pedal.
The Americans will face Sweden in the Bronze Medal game for the first time in this tournament while the Canadians defeated the Russians 6-3 in the first game of the tournament for both teams. Canada appears to have the inside track for their sixth gold medal in seven years.
