Alex Ovechkin Tests All-Star Game Officials, Throws Stick At Matt Duchene

There are a few things that just don’t happen in the NHL All-Star Game. Players don’t take slap shots, they don’t hit each other, and as a result, there usually aren’t any penalties.

So when Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin was tripped up in the third period of this year's game in Raleigh, he decided to test the officials a little bit. How far could he push them before they'd have to call something?

The coolest part? Matt Duchene actually controlled the puck around the stick. Oh, and Ovi didn't even get a real penalty on the play. By rule, the officials just awarded Duchene a penalty shot, which Henrik Lundqvist stopped pretty easily.
