In a game that saw 16 different players score a goal and nineteen combined goals scored, Bobby Butler of the Binghamton Senators wins the MVP with one goal and three assists. The Eastern Conference defeated the Western Conference 11-7 in the 2011 AHL All-Star game.

The first period saw the most action with a total of eight goals scored, four a piece from the Eastern and Western Conferences. Andrew Gordon got the scoring started at the :15 mark of the first period, the fastest goal scored to start an AHL All-Star game. The Western Conference scored four straight goals and then the Eastern Conference scored five straight between the first and second periods. The two teams traded goals back and forth before the Eastern Conference pulled away with three goals in the third period.
Rhett Rakhshani and Bobby Butler led the Eastern Conference in scoring with one goal and three assists while Andrew Gordon and Robert Bortuzzo both had two goals. On the Western Conference side, no player had more than one goal and Michal Repik led the Western Conference with one goal and two assists.
Goaltender John Curry led the goaltenders with 27 saves on 31 shots while playing for half of the game. Only Mark Dekanich of the Milwaukee Admirals allowed the least amount of goals with three and made 7 saves on 10 shots. A total of 85 shots were combined by both teams resulting in a total of 66 saves made by five goaltenders.
