The Philadelphia Flyers learned the hard way that they needed a true No. 1 goaltender in the playoffs last year. Three goalkeepers allowed a combined 38 goals in 11 playoff games. The early returns suggest acquiring the rights to negotiate with Ilya Bryzgalov may have been the best move they could have made last offseason.
