NHL Starting Goalies & TV Schedule, 10/12: Canucks Vs. Flyers, Bruins Vs. Hurricanes
A full list of the games, including starting goalies and TV coverage, can be found below. All times Eastern.
7 p.m., Avalanche at Blue Jackets. No television coverage. (Seriously.) If a professional hockey game played in the year 2011 isn't televised, does it really even happen? That question will be answered tonight, when we rely solely on written first-hand accounts of a battle between Seymon Varlamov of the Colorado Avalanche and Steve Mason of the Columbus Blue Jackets. It feels very 1949 in here.
7:30 p.m., Canucks at Flyers. TSN, RIS, CSN Philadelphia. Ilya Bryzgalov and the Flyers are off to a hot start, but in their home debut, they'll face an extremely tough task in the visiting Canucks. Roberto Luongo is in goal for the visitors.
7:30 p.m., Bruins at Hurricanes. Versus, TSN2. We're going to go ahead and assume that Tim Thomas is making the start for the Boston Bruins tonight at RBC Center, and he'll do it in front of a national audience in two countries. Cam Ward and the Hurricanes will try to humiliate them in front of that audience.
