The Boston Bruins have struggled as of late, but Thursday night it didn’t show at all. Fresh off a tough loss marred by fights on Tuesday, Boston came out and hammered Toronto, walking away with an easy 6-2 win.
Maple Leafs Vs. Bruins Final Score: Boston Hammers Toronto, 6-2
David Steckel scored the first goal of the evening, giving the Maple Leafs a 1-0 lead midway through the first period. But the lead was short-lived as Boston answered back with authority. Nathan Horton, Zdeno Chara and Chris Kelly each scored goals to close the period and the Bruins were off and running.
Milan Lucic, Patrice Bergeron and Tyler Seguin each scored goals in the third period, and the rout was surely on. Toronto added a late goal by Mikhail Grabovski to make the score 6-2 late in the third period.
And that’s where it stayed as Boston gave Toronto its first regulation loss of the year.
