Just 13 seconds into Friday night’s matchup between the Dallas Stars and Anaheim Ducks, Loui Eriksson found the back of the net and Dallas was off and running. It was a bit of an odd goal, with Eriksson taking a dump-in and flinging it willy-nilly toward the net, but it was a goal nonetheless, and it gave the Stars and early cushion as they rolled to a 3-1 win.
Stars Vs. Ducks Final Score: Loui Eriksson Leads Dallas To 3-1 Win
The first period was all Dallas, with Eriksson scoring first and Mike Ribeiro adding a second goal midway through the period. Anaheim was unable to answer, both at the time and throughout the rest of the game, as Dallas preserved its lead.
Just one second before the end of the second period, the Ducks got on the board by taking advantage of a power play. Corey Perry put the puck into the back of the net, cutting the Dallas lead to 2-1. But just under two minutes into the third period, Eriksson struck again and Dallas had its two-goal lead back again.
And that’s where it stayed, with the Stars taking care of the Ducks on Friday night, 3-2.
