Flyers Vs. Canadiens Preview: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Montreal Canadiens are trying to get on track, but face a tough test when Philadelphia comes to town.

The Montreal Canadiens are off to their worst start in 70 years, and as boos rain down from the seats at Centre Bell and fans call for the head of Jacques Martin, they seem to play even worse. The Habs have not won a game in five attempts so far this season on home ice, typically one of the toughest barns in the NHL.

But with the Philadelphia Flyers coming into town on Wednesday night, it's not going to be easy to get that first win of the year. After a little slump that saw Philly lose three of four to Washington, Los Angeles and St. Louis, the Flyers got back on track with a win over the tough Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday night.

The top line of Jaromir Jagr, Claude Giroux and Scott Hartnell combined to score all four Philly goals in that win, and Jagr picked up two of them -- his first in Flyer orange. They'll be without captain Chris Pronger for the first time against Montreal as he begins recovery from a scary eye injury suffered in the Toronto game.

The Habs will look to build upon an effort against Florida which saw them place 41 shots on the Panthers net, and with the Flyers propensity to take penalties against Montreal, maybe the Habs will be able to get their 29th-ranked power play going a bit.

It's Ilya Bryzgalov vs. Carey Price in between the pipes.
