Flyers Vs. Sabres Preview: Game Time, TV Coverage And More

The Sabres and Flyers meet for the first time since their epic playoff battle last year.

For the first time since their epic playoff battle last year, the Philadelphia Flyers and Buffalo Sabres will play one another. Both teams have slowed down a bit after hot starts.

The Flyers were 4-0-1 in their first five and had outscored their opponents 19-10. Prior to Saturday's 5-1 win over the Hurricanes, they had gone 1-4-0 and been outscored 25-17 that included a 9-8 loss to the Winnipeg Jets. Their most glaring weakness has been at goaltender where neither Ilya Bryzgalov nor Sergei Bobrovsky have looked very good. Bryzgalov has been the better of the two and he's currently sporting a 3.16 goals against average and a .880 save percentage.

The Sabres got off to a 5-1-0 start in which they were +10 in goal-difference, but have gone 1-3-0 and been outscored 12-7. Thomas Vanek and Jason Pominville are both out to blazing starts. Vanek already has eight goals ans seven assists, while Pominville has five goals to go along with nine assists.
