After a bit of a rough start the Phoenix Coyotes have rounded into form nicely ever since coach Dave Tippett moved Ray Whitney onto a line with Radim Vrbata and Martin Hanzal. A 2-3-1 start has turned around into a 3-0-1 spurt in which the Coyotes have scored 15 goals. Whitney has two goals and three assists during that four-game stretch and Vrbata has two goals and three assists in his past two games.

Coyotes have come on strong after a slow start, while the Avalanche look to build on their first win at home.
The Avalanche have gotten off to a bit of a weird start, themselves. Their win over the Kings on Sunday was their first of the season at home, but they lead the league with six road wins and started out the season 5-1-0. Much of their success has been on the power-play where they are 10-for-27 so far this year.
