David Krejci signed a three-year extension with the Boston Bruins, the team announced Monday. Financial terms of the deal were not released by the club per team policy, however ESPN has reported that Krejci will receive approximately $5.25 million per season. He will earn $4 million this season, the final year of his contract.
David Krejci Signs 3-Year Contract Extension With Boston Bruins
David Krejci has signed a three-year extension with the Boston Bruins, the team reported Monday. He will reportedly earn $5.25 million per season under his new contract.
Krejci has been within the Bruins organization his entire career since being drafted in the second round of the 2004 NHL Draft. He has been a part of the NHL club in Boston since 2006, playing in 318 games and tallying 227 points on 62 goals and 167 assists. Last season, he led the Bruins with 23 points in the playoffs en route to a Stanley Cup championship.
The 2011-12 season has started off slow for Krejci, who has just 13 points in 20 games. He blew up last Wednesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs, however, tallying a goal and two assists in the win.
