Penguins Vs. Rangers: Rangers Take 1-0 Lead On Prust Goal

The New York Rangers take a 1-0 lead into the first intermission on a Brandon Prust goal. Prust scored at the 3:52 mark of the first period with assists from Woltek Wolski and Bryan Boyle.

This game has featured chances from both the Penguins and Rangers at both ends of the ice. The Penguins have outshot the Rangers 12-8 through the first period and Henrik Lundqvist has made all of the saves in the period. Craig Adams leads the Penguins in shots with two while 11 total players have registered a shot. On the Rangers side of the puck, eight players have registered a shot.

While the players may not have found many shooting opportunities, they have found each other. There are 27 combined hits in the game, the Penguins lead 14-13.

The second period will bring more of the same type of game and both teams will have a handful of chances to change the game.
