Penguins Vs. Blackhawks: Brett Sterling Ties The Game At Two In Third Period

Brett Sterling found a rebound and a wide open net to tie the game up for Penguins with 3:18 left in the third period which eventually sent the game to overtime. The assists on the goal come from Tyler Kennedy and Paul Martin. The Blackhawks are outshooting the Penguins through three periods 28-26 while the Penguins have outshot the Blackhawks in the second and third periods alone.

This game has been a physical affair with 81 total hits in the game compared to 54 total shots from the two teams. Both goaltenders have had to make their fair share of impressive saves to keep their teams in the game.

The Penguins are 8-4 in overtime this season while the Blackhawks are 5-6 in the extra time.
