NHL Trade Rumors: Brad Richards Only Going To New York Rangers, If He’s Going Anywhere

The big player of the day is Dallas center Brad Richards. He is set to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season and is coveted by a handful of teams. Richards has a no-trade clause and the Dallas Stars have stated that they really aren’t interested in moving Richards at this moment.

TSN’s Darren Dreger is reporting, though, that if Richards were to be moved today, only one team has a shot at him:

Apparently the asking price for Richards is still fairly high: a current player, a pick, and a prospect.

The asking price may go down as the day continues and with this news out there, the Rangers might have a bit of leverage. Also of note is the fact that Richards hasn’t returned to the ice with concussion symptoms. A timetable is unknown at this point.
