Evgeni Malkin had missed five games and the NHL All-Star Game thanks to knee issues, and upon his return to the Penguins' lineup on Friday night against the Buffalo Sabres, it didn't take long for No. 71 to go down yet again. This time, it's the opposite knee.

On the opening shift of the second period, Malkin went into the corner with Sabres defenseman Tyler Myers. It looked as though he hit his knee against the boards after absorbing a hit from Myers. He collapsed to the ice and never returned to the game.
