HBO's awesome, fantastic, it-better-come-back-next-year 24/7 series that followed the Pittsburgh Penguins and Washington Capitals for a month earlier this season has been nominated for three Emmy awards.
HBO’s 24/7 Penguins-Capitals Nominated For 3 Emmy Awards
The nominations come in the “Outstanding Edited Sports Special” and the “Outstanding Post-Produced Audio/Sound” category. The four-part series was also nominated for the Dick Schapp Writing Award.
In each category, 24/7 Penguins-Capitals is going head-to-head with another HBO Sports property. In the case of the Dick Schapp Award, HBO’s Hard Knocks was also nominated, and HBO’s 24/7 boxing special Mayweather-Mosley was nominated for the other two awards. The awards will be given out in New York City on May 2.
