As if we didn't know Teemu Selanne was incredible already, his five-point performance on Monday night made us all remember exactly why he is. The Finnish Flash has taken the Anaheim Ducks on his back in recent games, just as they need it most with the Western playoff race coming right down to the wire.

Monday night was just fantastic, even nostalgic. He factored in on all five Ducks goals, which were just enough to squeak by Colorado 5-4. Selanne's power play goal with about five minutes left was his third of the night and ultimately turned out to be the game-winner, as Paul Stastny brought the Avalanche within one with under a minute to play.
Despite the high score, the goaltending was pretty solid at both ends of the ice. Ray Emery made 31 saves for the Ducks on 35 shots, while Anaheim peppered Brian Elliott with 42 shots, 37 of which were stopped. The Ducks hold the seventh-seed over Chicago by one point and they sit four points clear of ninth-place Calgary.
