As is the case with most Nashville Predators games, Pekka Rinne always makes things interesting. You don't often see blowouts with the Preds finishing on the wrong end of the board. Sunday was no different as Rinne made 33 saves in a loss to the Calgary Flames.
Predators Vs. Flames: Jarome Iginla’s 30th Goal Helps Calgary To Another Win
Calgary throughly dominated the play throughout much of the latter half of the game, outshooting Nashville 27 to 14 in the final 40 minutes of play. After the Predators took a 2-1 lead into the first intermission, the Flames responded with that offensive show, although only goals from Jarome Iginla -- the 30th of his season -- and Curtis Glencross would sneak by Rinne. Again, without him, it would have likely been one of those lopsided scores.
Still, the Flames were able to pull out a win -- their 15th in their last 21 games. The two points pulls them up to fifth place in the West, while the loss drops the Predators to 11th in the West, four points back of Calgary.
