Are the Dallas Stars and the Minnesota Wild the exact same franchise, because the last three days certainly make it seem that way.
Apparently, The Wild And Stars Are Run By The Exact Same People
Let’s ignore the whole “Stars moved from Minnesota to Dallas” thing. After the teams faced off on Sunday afternoon in the final game of the 2010-11 NHL regular season, both teams fired their head coaches in frighteningly similar fashion.
First, the statement from Wild GM Chuck Fletcher on Monday after he fired coach Todd Richards:
“I would like to thank Todd for the hard work he provided to the Minnesota Wild organization the last two seasons and wish him the best in the future,” said Fletcher, who admitted the difficulty of the decision.
And then, Tuesday’s statement from Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk following his dismissal of coach Marc Crawford:
“I would like to thank Marc for the hard work he provided to the Dallas Stars over the last two seasons,” said Nieuwendyk. “We wish him the best in the future.”
IT’S EXACTLY THE SAME.

Guys. Think outside the box a little bit. (Or, at the very least, just tell it how it is: they got fired.)
