Detroit and Phoenix both get on the board early in Game Four of their playoff series to make it 1-1 with 12 minutes to go in the first period.
Red Wings vs. Coyotes: Both Teams Scoring Early, Phoenix Leads 2-1 In First
The first score came courtesy of Red Wing Tomas Holmstrom , who buried a nice backhand from Pavel Datsyuk. Mike Modano also assisted on the goal.
Not two minutes later, Coyote Taylor Pratt scored his 1st playoff goal to even things up. It was the first even strength goal for Phoenix since Game 1.
Then, Shane Doan gave the Coyotes their first lead since Game 1 when his shot trickled under Detroit goalie Howard and crossed the line.
The Yotes are playing for their lives right now and so far, they’re doing a good job of it.
