Red Wings Vs. Coyotes, Game 4: Kronwall’s Goal Ties It At 3-3

After a wild first period, the Detroit Red Wings and Phoenix Coyotes are where they started in the first and second: tied. Game 4 of this Western Conference Quarterfinal series is even, 3-3 after two periods.

Power play goals got it done in this frame, as Martin Hanzal cashed in on a beautiful passing play to beat Jimmy Howard at 1:09 of the second. A short time later, Detroit got the power play, and Nicklas Kronwall beat Ilya Bryzgalov from the point to tie it, 3-3.

Since then, the goaltenders have put on a show, especially Ilya Bryzgalov, who has been keeping it even since the third Red Wing goal, almost by himself. Bryzgalov has made 18 saves through two periods, while Jimmy Howard has made 13 for the Red Wings. Detroit is 20 minutes away from being the second team into the second round.
