The Chicago Blackhawks are going to make the Vancouver Canucks work for a victory in Game 6 as the two teams head into overtime tied at three. A 4-on-4 goal and a penalty shot added up for the offense in this period.
Canucks Vs. Blackhawks Score: Kevin Bieksa, Michael Frolik Exchange Goals, Leading To Overtime
After Brian Campbell and Henrik Sedin started the third period in the penalty box, Vancouver's Kevin Bieksa wasted no time and put his team up, 3-2, in the first minute of play. But no sooner did Dan Hamhuis take Chicago's Michael Frolik down on a breakaway to give him a penalty shot.
Frolik put the puck into the net, but Cory Schneider injured himself as he attempted to make a save. In clear pain, Schneider was forced to leave the game, replaced by Roberto Luongo. According to the Versus announcers, Luongo has never won a game in relief. Frolik's equalizer was the team's first successful penalty shot in four tries.
The game now heads to overtime. The Canucks are one goal away from advancing to the second round.
