Sharks Vs. Kings, Game 6: Goalies Duel In Effect After Scoreless First Period

Try as they might, neither the San Jose Sharks nor the Los Angeles Kings have been able to figure out one another’ goalie so far in Game 6 of their playoff series.

The Sharks have peppered the Kings’ Jonathan Quick with 16 shots. He’s also coming off a game in which he made 51 saves, so, he’s in a bit of a zone.

The Kings aren’t giving him much offensive support, however. They only have five shots on Antti Niemi so far.

If the goalies (and offenses) keep this up, it might just be the quickest NHL Playoff game in history. The way they’re shooting, it looks like the Sharks have the advantage of quantity, if not quality.

For more on the series, check in with our blogs: Jewels From The Crown covers the Kings perspective, Fear The Fin has the Sharks side of things and Battle of California has it all (likely in cartoon form). You can find full SBNation.com coverage here.
