Sharks Vs. Kings, Game 6: Both Teams Get On Board, Sharks Score Twice For 2-1 Lead

After a first period that saw the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks go scoreless despite 21 combined shots on goal, you knew something had to give in the second period.

Both the Kings’ Jonathan Quick and Sharks’ Antti Niemi saw their walls crumble a both teams got on the board. The Sharks scored two and lead the Kings 2-1 at the end of the period.

Kyle Wellwood kicked off the scoring at the 2:58 mark for the Sharks.

The Kings converted a power play to even things up, thanks to Justin Williams.

Jason Demers put San Jose back on top at 16:52 with an assist from Joe Pavelski and Torrey Mitchell.

Quick still has 27 saves on the night while Niemi is catching up with 17.
