Henrik Zetterberg, Johan Franzen Ready To Go In Game 1 Vs. Sharks

Henrik Zetterberg didn't sniff the ice in the Detroit Red Wings first round series against the Phoenix Coyotes, but as the Wings get set to face off against the San Jose Sharks in round two, he's fresh and ready to go.

Head coach Mike Babcock announced prior to Game 1 that Zetterberg and Johan Franzen are ready to go. Franzen suffered an ankle issue in the Coyotes series and didn't play in the final game of that series.

Via NHL.com’s Dave Lozo:

Getting nine days of rest has paid off in a major way for the Detroit Red Wings, who will welcome back Henrik Zetterberg and Johan Franzen to the lineup for Game 1 of their Western Conference semifinal-round series with the San Jose Sharks.

Mike Modano, signed by the Wings just for this time of year, will be a healthy scratch just as he was in Game 1 against Phoenix. Kris Draper will also sit for Detroit.
