Henrik Sedin had one goal in 14 playoff games coming into Game one of the Western Conference Finals and that happened during Game four of the Western Conference Semifinals. That game was pretty much the only game that Henrik had a major impact with three total points. That is until Sunday night against the Sharks.
Sharks Vs. Canucks, Game 1: Henrik Sedin Becomes The Hero
Sedin registered the game winning goal and an assist that led to the game tying goal in the third period. Until then, both he and his brother Daniel were after thoughts heading into this series to Ryan Kesler who leads the league in playoff points.
Henrik had this to say about the game and his goal:
“It’s tough to come back in this league,” said Henrik. “We made a great push and showed a lot of courage in the third. Christian made a great play to me. I thought he was going to shoot the puck and it was a great saucer pass. An easy play.”
The Canucks have a 1-0 series lead and will try to extend that lead on Wednesday night in Game two.
