VIDEO: CBC Outdoes Itself Again With 2011 Stanley Cup Playoffs Montage

CBC and Hockey Night In Canada always close the NHL season with a brilliant montage of the entire postseason, from Round 1 through the hoisting of the Stanley Cup. Following the Boston Bruins win over the Vancouver Canucks on Wednesday night, they did the same.

To the tune of U2’s “One Love,” which is perhaps a bit ironic given the hatred in the series and the riots that were taking over Vancouver at the time the video ran after Game 7, CBC may have outdone itself this year.

It's all fantastic, but some of the imagery is really incredible. Ryan Kesler and Joe Thornton jawing at each other at the faceoff dot, Carey Price sitting dejected on the ice after Game 7 in Round 1, Brian Boucher slamming his stick against the goal post in frustration, Steven Stamkos and his vicious bloody nose, the hug between Tim Thomas and Martin St. Louis, Roberto Luongo falling back into the net after a goal, and of course, Zdeno Chara screaming with joy as he lifts the Cup.

What a playoff run.
