NHL Schedule 2011-12 Released: Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks Meet Again In January

On Thursday, as announced, the NHL released its schedule for the 2011-12 hockey season. The full team schedules are available for viewing on the NHL’s website.

Chief among the highlights: the champion Boston Bruins will meet their rivals in the 2011 Stanley Cup finals, the Vancouver Canucks, on January 7th, 2012. The game will be played on Boston’s ice.

On opening night, which falls on October 6th of this year, NHL fans will be treated to three marquee match-ups. At 7 p.m. ET, the Philadelphia Flyers will take on the Bruins in Boston, the Montreal Canadiens will play the Maple Leafs in Toronto, and the Canucks will host the Pittsburgh Penguins.
