The first trade on NHL Draft day sees the Colorado Avalanche sending John-Michael Liles to the Toronto Maple Leafs for a second round pick in the 2011 draft.
John-Michael Liles Traded To The Toronto Maple Leafs
Liles is bringing a cap hit of $4.2 million, according to CapGeek.com, for his final year to the Maple Leafs which still gives them $17.5 million in cap space with 17 players signed. The Avalanche on the other hand rid themselves of some more salary and now sit with a ton of cap space with 13 players signed.
