Fans of the Vancouver Canucks are sad.
Words Of Encouragement For Sad Vancouver Canucks Fans, With Help From The Old Spice Guy
Things were going so well. Just days ago, their team was on their way to a swift Stanley Cup victory after two games against the Boston Bruins in the Stanley Cup Finals, and now... nothing. Two huge losses, and it all feels over.Downtown game night parties have turned to downtown game night... story time?
Meanwhile, the smug attitude has firmly shifted across the continent from Vancouver to Boston, and the Bruins and their fans suddenly have a swagger unlike anything they’ve seen in 40 years.
But you know, the Canucks have been the best team in the NHL all season long. The Bruins are damn good, and Games 3 and 4 were pretty darn impressive, but two losses on the road shouldn’t make Canucks fans turn on their goaltender and their entire team. They shouldn’t look like the season is over.
They need a pep talk, and who better to give that pep talk than the Old Spice guy?
Look at your team. Now back to me. Now back your team. Now back to me. Sadly, your team isn’t me, but if it stopped playing hockey like it’s entitled to the Stanley Cup, it could play like me.
Look down. Back up. Where are you? You’re on a plane, back to the place where your team plays like a Champion.
What’s on your chest? Back at me. I’m wearing it. It’s a blue and green Luongo shirt you might be burning next week.
Look again. THE SHIRT IS NOW SACRED.
Anything is possible when your team wakes up and stops getting beat up by Drew Carey.
See, how easy was that Vancouver? Smile.
