Last week, Jack Jablonski was a 16-year-old Minnesota high school hockey star. This week, he’s paralyzed in a Minnesota hospital after a hit from behind during a game severed his spine.

Here, we’ll just urge you to try and give something to his cause. We all watch sports because they’re wildly entertaining, and most of us play sports because they’re a whole lot of fun. But they’re all extremely dangerous, and this is just another reminder of that.
There’s a 16-year-old in Minnesota who’s paralyzed in a hospital bed right now, and if he has any chance of walking again, he’s going to need help and prayers and support. You can donate to his CaringBridge page, which will help with hospital costs and everything else involved with his recovery, and you can also leave a personal message of support.
It’s been pointed out that donations go directly to CaringBridge, not to the Jablonski family. Worth noting if you’re planning on donating. You can send a message of support via the CaringBridge site for free, however.
