With the NHL lockout unfortunately in full-swing, many players are now playing overseas in a variety of leagues including the KHL of Russia.
KHL schedule 2012: Ilya Kovalchuk, Evgeni Malkin playing Monday
The KHL schedule is chock full on Monday with stars like Alexander Ovechkin, Evgeni Malkin and Ilya Kovalchuk on the ice.

The KHL season is a few weeks old, with many stars from the NHL playing which include Ilya Kovalchuk, Alexander Semin, Alexander Ovechkin and Pavel Datsyuk.
On Sunday, only one game is on the slate with Dynamo Msk facing off against Amur. Minnesota Wild goaltender Niklas Backstrom is a part of the Dynamo squad.
When Monday rolls around, a full docket of contests will be on hand with marquee match-ups dotting the landscape. SKA St. Petersburg has a tough game on its hands versus Metallurg Nk, where Kovalchuk of the New Jersey Devils is ready to show off his skills for SKA once again.
Evgeni Malkin and Sergei Gonchar will also be in action for Metallurg Mg when they take on Torpedo.
